The following is a list of Bible commentaries that are available for free online borrowing through the Internet Archive. These commentaries are all in English and were published between 1980 and 2015 (with a few exceptions).
This list was last updated on August 11, 2022. More commentaries are being added to the Internet archive on an almost daily basis. Click here to see the most recent additions. (Update January 21, 2023: relevant commentaries that were uploaded to the Internet Archive between January 1 and January 20, 2023, have been added to this list; commentaries that were uploaded between August 11 and December 31, 2022, and commentaries that have been uploaded since January 21, 2023, have not yet been added to this list.)
As for older commentaries, this list refers to some (fairly) recent translations of traditional Jewish and Christian commentaries that are still under copyright. It does not refer to older editions that are in the public domain, as these can easily be found on other sites. See, e.g., ccel.org for Calvin’s commentaries.
