The following is a list of Bible commentaries that are available for free online borrowing through the Internet Archive. These commentaries are all in English and were published between 1980 and 2015 (with a few exceptions). This list was last updated in March 2026.
As for older commentaries, this list refers to some (fairly) recent translations of traditional Jewish and Christian commentaries that are still under copyright. It does not refer to older editions that are in the public domain, as these can easily be found on other sites. See, e.g., ccel.org for Calvin’s commentaries.
